Everything about Bettie Page pt. 4
…any other comics about Bettie?
Bettie appeared many and many comics with her varied characters near Dave Stevens’s The Rocketeer ( published in the early 80′s ). The first official Bettie Page comic came out in 1996 and 1997. There were many others with the role fetish, jungle Bettie, and everything in 3d.
Are there any other provocative photos exist of Bettie?
While the most of Bettie’s pictures are studio photos, there are a few where she was nude and shows everything. They supposedly taken in a photographer party where she was a little bit drunk. A few of them were published on the High Society in the Private Peeks heading in the late 70′s.
Why did she finished modeling?
There were many reason what gives the decision for her to finish modeling. The case Kefauver for example, and weird incidents, blackmail with a sex photo, back injury, her desire to be a teacher, and her age…but actually her religious conversion and that’s why she didn’t carry on her model carreer.
Where were Bettie and what did she do through her “disappearing”?
She leaved New York and travelled to Miami in 1957. In that month she posed for a photoserie and some of the pictures were published the next year on a skindiver sportmagazine. This was her last modeling. She married her boyfriend Arnold Waterson in 1958 but soon they had material and marriage problems. In that New Year’s Eve she walked in a church and became religious. The following years she had leaved her husband and started to study the Bible in Chicago, L.A., Portland, Oregon, and worked as a secretary. Finally she moved to Tennessee and married her first husband Billy Neal. She returned to Florida in 1966 where she met her third husband Harry Lear. The married in 1967 and divorced in 1972. Then she moved to California where she lived with her brother Jimmy.
