What is pin-up?

This was the first thing we discussed on this page when start writing but we’re writing again to give the information again:
pin-up is a person who sexually attractived posing in photographs, paintings, etc. A person –women in general-who beautiful with attitude of the golden ages.
The word ’pin-up’ was used first in the 1940’s but the culture of beautiful women ( what we see we say ’yes, this is a pin-up stylw’) is older than you could think. It’s history started in the 1870’s with Jules Chéret and his posters.

What is cheesecake?

First: a really delicious cake made with sweetened cottage cheese…yummy! But here it’s not the most important part of the definition.
Attractive women used to compared with this sweet cake when said: ” She’s better than cheesecake!” So cheesecake also a photographic and art style. The main earmarks of it are the following: provocatively garmented, sexually attractive women without pornography and totally nudity! Cheesecake not means pornography because it’s subjects are simply sexually attractive and not show sexual positions or acts. The models are provocatively garmented-so they wear clothes, lingerie, etc. - and provocative, never obscene.
There are many and many paintings, photos what show correctly this style. There are another detalis of what you realize it’s a cheesecake photo, painting, etc.:
In general they use simple backgrounds or a few attachements- a chair for example- and the main focus is on the person, the woman. The attitude of this person is another key. She is flirty, seductive but not show everything and let more secretsto think. This is the classic, real feminine principle.
Another way of this when you may think the model don’t know that you observe her and do her activity in her totally natural way.
You can see many examples of cheesecake seeing the vintage (and modern :)) pin-up postcards, posters, photos, magazines.

Cheesecake you see in girlie magazines for example are special ways of cheesecake because it’s a mixture of photography/painting and comics: there are some photos/paintings with funny captions or short dialogues what are in funny connection. When they use paintings you can see more chiselled than in the simple comics.
