So hi girls! It’s so honored we can do this interview with you.
So let’s start in the begginings: where are you from, where are you living….tell us a little about you!
So let’s start in the begginings: where are you from, where are you living….tell us a little about you!

M: My name is Michaela, also known as Gamblin’ Queen (it’s my fav’ Demented Are Go Song), I am a freelance writer for a music magazine and also do some copywriting.
I am totally addicted to tattoos and all kinds of lowbrow art, collecting kitschy girlie crap, I love Punkrock and always preferred to walk on the wild side – as far it is possible with my situation as a mom of course.

S: My name is Natalie, I go under the name of “sweetness” and I’m a 36 year old teacher. This job fills me out quite well, but it lacks of glamour!!!
This is why I’m in love with the Rockabilly/Pinup-scene - it’s just so much fun to dress up, take photos etc.

When did you become the enthusiasts the rockabilly/pin-up?
M: I started with Psychobilly in 1987 (Uugh, yes; I am old), and went exclusively to those shows within the first couple of years, but after a while I got tired of the attitude and slowed down a bit – Rockabilly! The people are dressed up nicer and the scene is more friendly.
S: Hm… when did it all start? I was fascinated with photography since I was a little girl of maybe 8 years old - my Dad used to have his own dark room at home. I’ve taken the first professional pinup photos in 1999, the photographer was Aleksander Percovic.
How did you got to know each other?
M:It happened a a couple of years ago while I was spending my boring lunchbreak in my fav’ jewelry shop. Sweetness came in and I just thought ‘Woow , I love her style!’
Yes, it was love at first sight!

S: Micky!! Oh well, let’s see… If you go to an event in Germany, and Micky is there too - you will notice her! So I’ve “known” her for a few years. We first started talking though when we met in a small jewelry shop in Düsseldorf and she showed me her brandnew bettie Page tattoo… love at first sight!
What kind of do you think rockabilly life is in your country? Is it a big crowd or a little gang?
S: The Rockabilly scene is growing and growing - I think its a pretty big scene. there are concerts every weekend somewhere near you, and also some bigger events like the Walldorf weekender for example with around 1000+ guests.
What is it like do you think make something big in this scene for people who adore this style, it becomes his/her lifestyle?
M: I guess it’s this craving void for this ideal of the 50s, the nice cars, the furniture, the style…competition was not that tough yet and life probably slower.
Not to forget that guys were meant to be more gentlemen-like and girls more lady-like and that you can still find this attitude in the Rock’n’Roll Scence. It’s nice to have a guy with good manners, who doesn’t slam the door in front of your nose.

What are your plans, dreams that you’d like to achieve in life?
M: I would love to be able to make my living with our magazine and move for a while to Las Vegas.
My boyfriend is American and used to live there before he came to Germany to live with me. And of course I hope that I am able to stay with him and just have a happy life. That my friends will always stay by my side and that’s it…

S: Oh dear, what a heavy question! Of course I’d love to have my 15 min of fame, but in reality I think its the basic things that count: staying happy, feeling loved, friends you can rely on, a good health…
When somebody beautiful and aglow this is only one thing but if this people have intelligence, clever ideas it’s always gives more than simple beauty. What do you think about it?
M:I guess, being goodlooking makes life easier, but nothing is more annoying than a pretty dumbass who is just relying on a nice face and tits. It pushes me more away than someone who is not attractive at all. The same in guys…Pretty guys without attitude are whimps!
S: Definitely! this counts for boys & girls! Intelligence is sexy!
What do you think about pin-up culture? What era of this you like the most?
S: I’m in love with the look of some pinups! It’s just such a wonderful way to look - very feminine, sexy but also classy. Maybe it may appear a little naive to some - and it is - but it should be taken as a playful thing. It’s not that I reduce myself (or other pin-ups) to their sexy posing and “oops”-face!
TO BE CONTINUED WITH THE SECOND PART!:)
