There is a friendly hair parlour in London, called Nina’s Hair Parlour, where you can find specifically the hairstyles of the past with amazingly professional hairdressers, stylists and make-up artists.

They specialized in vintage styles, and their passion are the 1920’s waves,1930’s curls, 1940’s rolls, 1950’s chignon or back-combed 1960’s bouffants. Nina Butkovich-Budden, the leader of the parlour has been doing them for the past 15 years.

She is working alongside fashion photographers, film makers and fore fronting London’s neo burlesque scene, recreating different timeless looks. Their works are amazingly beautiful and professional. Using some changes and innovations, they still classic and unique.

Nina is working with the barber Mark McCarthy-vel, make-up artist Issidora and hairdresser Leila Mauro. When I first saw their gallery I was amazed of this vintage and also absolutely pinup hairstyles.
Nina, Leila, Mark and Issidora would be delighted to share their skills with people who enjoy the exotic, theatrical and glamourous, or those who just want to have a little fantasy or take a fun journey of true self expression to another era. They stock a number of handpicked, rare and original period hats from the 1930’s-1960’s, extravagant, unique hair accessories all of which are available for sale and hire.
