The first draft created by Charles Dana Gibson in 1902 however the expression “pin-up” wasn’t known that time as such the ancestor of pin-up girls. She have the caracteristics of the style. Charles Dana Gibson made this character the portrait of the ideal woman. She symbolise everything was loved in a woman that time: she is the free, modern, joung woman always showed totally dressed up nonetheless she was provocative with this too. Sometimes she worn swimsuits, or shirts what according to men fashion. She shown while relaxing or doing some sports alone or with a good looking young man created the famous Gibson-pair. She’s beautiful with sporty constitution and have the sense of modern lifestyle. This was very shocking that time.

Paris became the hometown of modern advertisements and the origin of pin-up magazines. They’re glorify Paris of course and helps to bring alive pin-up culture. Pin-up artists give more and another mediums for their culture and showing beautiful women before the appearance of photography in this culture. There was more possibilities to show art in paper what put on photographs with it’s other point of wiev. Changing mediums and equipments always interesting especially if it’s subject is the same that’s why pin-up culture and it’s art ways are interesting to analyze a bit too.
